Have you met our sister company Coop Controls yet?

Coop Controls is the automatic chicken coop solution you've been dreaming about! Our easy to install kit includes a built-in photosensor that will automatically open your swinging coop door at sunrise and close it at sunset.

Why Invest in an Automatic Coop Door Opener?

1. Convenience
These days, everyone is busy. Adding an automatic door opener kit brins some convenience back into your life so that you can continue to enjoy the things you love, like:
    • Going out of town on vacation
    • Attending after school events for your children or family
    • Heading out for a late dinner or early cup of coffee
    • Sleeping in late on the weekends
    • Avoiding the freezing cold mornings and nights during the winter months
2. Keep the Chickens in and Predators Out!
Shutting the coop door each day at sunset is imperative in keeping your birds safe. All animals that live in a coop are considered prey by something - including hawks, foxes, racoons, and coyotes.
Most birds desire going into the coop as it gets dark at night, since their predators are often most active just after the sun sets each day.
An Automatic Coop Door Kit by Coop Controls will always close the door as nightfall approaches to keep your coop secure, even if you get busy or are not home!

Our patent-pending coop door kits won’t keep the predators away from your birds, but they will help keep the predators out of the coop at night by ensuring that the door is closed when it gets dark.

3. Easy to Install

Most people can install our patent-pending kits in less than two hours.

There are no complicated assembly or programming steps required to get the system up and running.

Once the system is installed, you do have the ability to fine tune your installation by adjusting the delay to open and delay to close settings as your birds adjust to the automatic door.
4. Use it Anywhere
All Coop Controls door opener kits use a battery as the primary power source and include a UL Listed transformer that can be plugged into a standard 110VAC outlet to recharge the battery.  A 10 foot wire to connect the transformer to the system control board is included in the kit. If your power is further away, you can also purchase AXLV low voltage wire to extend this transformer up to 1000 ft. away from the coop door controller.
If you are too far from AC power for the transformer, or if you desire to utilize sustainable solar energy instead of power from the grid, you can add our AXDP 10-Watt Premium Monocrystalline Solar Panel Kit to recharge the battery.
You cannot connect both the Transformer and the Solar Panel at the same time or you will damage the system control board.

How does the built-in photosensor work?

OPENS THE COOP DOOR IN THE MORNING

The built-in photosensor works with our patent-pending intelligent system to automatically open the coop door at dawn by measuring the available light and your other custom settings.  The patent-pending intelligent system automatically adjusts each day to the changing sunrise times by sensing the available light, both visible and invisible, before it will trigger the coop door to open.

The opening time can be delayed even further by adding in a delay of up to 60 minutes after sunrise for the coop to open.

CLOSES THE COOP DOOR AT NIGHT

The built-in photosensor automatically alerts our patent-pending intelligent system to close the coop door at dusk by measuring the available energy.  The patent-pending intelligent system constantly measures the available solar energy, both visible and invisible, and continues to work even when it is raining, snowing, or cloudy outside. Our proprietary software is typically accurate to within 20 minutes of the published sunset time for your location.

You can always adjust the closing time by adding in addition delay time to make the coop door close up to 60 minutes later than the system would automatically close it.  Our team added this flexibility into the system so that you can make sure that any of your straggler birds don’t get left out at night.
